A tan solo 15 minutos del pueblo de Salobreña, en la zona de matagallares, nos encontramos un bonito cortijo en dos plantas con entrada independiente en cada planta y comunicadas por el area de piscina. Entrando por su gran cancela a la propiedad nos recibe su piscina totalmente operativa aunque en invierno se puede utilizar como alberca. Al lado de la piscina tenemos zona de diversión con columpios y un almacen trasero. En la planta inferior tenemos un gran salón de amplias dimensiones con chimenea, habitación y baño. Perfecto para reunirse con familiares y amigos para pasar una buena velada. Subiendo a la primera planta nos encontramos una terraza con impresionantes vistas a la montaña y a casi toda la Costa Tropical donde la linea del orizonte confunden el mar y el cielo. Entrando nos preside un gran salon con chimenea abierta y una pequeña cocina con barra americana. Dos habitaciones dobles y un baño completo con plato de ducha. Actualmente en su terreno hay plantado aguacates, arboles cítricos, chirimoyas, etc en pleno rendimiento

Just 15 minutes from the town of Salobreña, in the Matagallares area, we find a beautiful two-story farmhouse with independent entrance on each floor and connected by the pool area. Entering the property through its large gate, we are welcomed by its fully operational pool, although in winter it can be used as a pool. Next to the pool we have a fun area with swings and a rear storage room. On the lower floor we have a large spacious living room with fireplace, bedroom and bathroom. Perfect to meet with family and friends to have a good evening. Going up to the first floor we find a terrace with impressive views of the mountains and almost the entire Tropical Coast where the horizon line merges the sea and the sky. Entering, we are greeted by a large living room with an open fireplace and a small kitchen with an American bar. Two double bedrooms and a complete bathroom with a shower. Currently on their land there are planted avocados, citrus trees, cherimoyas, etc. in full production.

Location

There are two main parts of Salobreña. The first is The Old Town which sits atop a rocky prominence and is a cluster of whitewashed houses and quirky steep narrow streets leading up to a 10th-century Moorish castle. This is called 'El Castillo De Salobreña' which is one of its main tourist attractions. The second part of Salobreña is new developments which spread from the bottom of The Old Town right to the Beach. The whole town is almost surrounded by sugarcane fields on each side along the coast and further inland.

Another tourist attraction in Salobreña is 'El Peñon' (The Rock) which divides two of Salobreña's five beaches and juts out between Playa La Guardia and Playa de la Charca/Solamar and into the sea.

The last remaining cane sugar factory in Europe was located along the coast just west of the village of La Caleta de Salobreña. It closed in 2006.

The transformation experienced by Salobreña in recent decades has been one of the most important in the community. Dedicated to the cultivation of sugar cane since the Arab conquest, the municipality is currently an important tourist center in the summer season, thanks to its privileged location in the central-western part of the Granada coast. A fact that, moreover, has led to notable urban growth that began in the 1960s and culminated a few years ago with the renovation of the oldest infrastructures. Despite this, Salobreña has managed to maintain the spirit of the traditional Andalusian towns, which has allowed it to preserve its attractiveness and, at the same time, improve the standard of living of its inhabitants.
